3 Killed In Wolcott Domestic Shooting; IDs Released
A mother, a father, and a son are dead following a domestic shooting in Wolcott, according to police.

WOLCOTT, CT — Three people are dead after a shooting at a Wolcott home on Thursday evening, according to police.
Police responded to a call about a shooting at 634 Bound Line Road at 6:27 p.m.
Police arrived and found a man outside the address who had called 911 to report the shooting.

Inside the house police found three people who had been shot on a bedroom floor. A father, David Cote, 59, of Wolcott; a mother, Michelle Cote, 55, of Colchester; and a son, David Cote, Jr., 34, of Colchester, died in the incident, according to WTNH News-8.
The father was in the process of moving out and the son and his friend were helping. The mother, who was estranged from the father and had been living in a different town, had arrived to help.

The mother and father then got into an argument and the son and his friend attempted to intervene.
The father was armed and shot both the mother and son, according to police. The son had tried to grab the gun from his father, but the father got away and shot the mother, authorities told NBC CT.
The son's friend, who is a registered gun owner, then took out his gun, shot the father, and called 911, according to police.
Police told NBC CT that the friend's shooting of the father was "a matter of self-defense."
The mother owned the home and the father was being evicted, according to NBC CT.
Police said the investigation is still active.
The victims have not yet been identified.
