CT Weather: Record Low Temps On Thanksgiving

There is a change in the forecast concerning snow changes before Thanksgiving and there will be record cold on Turkey Day.

If you were hoping for snow before Thanksgiving then here is some bad news for you. For about five minutes on Sunday it appeared there would be light "accumulating snow" on Tuesday for all of Connecticut but a day later now it appears most of the precipitation on Tuesday will be plain rain except for northern parts of Litchfield County, which may see snow mix in at times.

On the immediate coast, rain is expected just before daybreak Tuesday and rain is likely for most of the morning before it ends in the early afternoon. The precipitation will be all rain on the coast.

In inland sections of Southern Connecticut, it will also be all rain too on Tuesday. There is a slight chance for snow showers on Wednesday here.

On Thanksgiving, there will be record low temps. On the shoreline, temps will be around 27 degrees and the low will sink to 15 degrees. In inland sections of Southern Connecticut, high temps will be in the lows 20 and and the nighttime low is in the single digits, and in Northern Connecticut, the daytime high will be only around 20 degrees and the low temp is around 5 degrees.
