CONNECTICUT — Amazon plans to hire about 4,500 seasonal, part-time and full-time employees in Connecticut as part of a nationwide effort to add more than 300,000 workers for the holiday season.
About 2,000 of the Connecticut positions will be in the Hartford area and another 2,000 in the New Haven area, the company announced.
Amazon said seasonal employees will earn an average of $20 per hour, and many positions offer opportunities to move into full-time jobs.
