Motorcyclist In Critical Condition After Crash: Plainfield Police

The motorcyclist was flown to an out-of-state hospital.

PLAINFIELD, CT — A 39-year-old Plainfield resident is in critical condition after being involved in a motorcycle crash late Friday.

At 9:39 p.m. the Plainfield Police Department was notified by the Quinebaug Valley Emergency Communications Center of a motorcycle crash in the area of Plainfield Pike and New Road.

First responding officers located a 2016 Harley-Davidson FLHX in a wooded area off the traveled portion of the roadway, with heavy damage, police said.

The Plainfield resident was initially transported by ambulance to Plainfield Backus Hospital and was later transferred via LIFE STAR helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, police said.

He is currently listed in critical condition as a result of the injuries sustained in the crash.

The Plainfield Police Department’s Accident Reconstructionist, along with members of the Special Investigations Unit, responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The incident remains under active investigation by the Plainfield Police Department.
