BRISTOL, CT — A Bristol-based company is closing its operations and will cease operations, resulting in the layoff of 73 employees,according to a filing with the state Department of Labor.
IDEX Health & Science LLC is closing its operations at 110 Halcyon Dr. and will cease operations on or about Oct. 30 and will conduct layoffs at the Bristol facility beginning on or around July 15, said Jenniffer Meiring, Vice President, Human Resources, IDEX Health & Science LLC in a letter to state officials.
"These actions are expected to be permanent, and the Company's entire operations at the Bristol facility are ceasing," Meiring wrote to state officials. "All positions at the Bristol facility will be eliminated, and the first employment terminations will occur during the fourteen (14) day period commencing on July 15, 2026."

All affected employees have been notified of their separation dates and that their separation from employment will be permanent.
The employees affected by the closing are not represented by a union.
