Cyclist In Critical Condition After Crash In Plainville, Police Say

PLAINVILLE, CT — A bicyclist is in critical condition following an accident in Plainville, according to police.

Police received several 911 calls reporting a motor vehicle vs. bicycle accident at the intersection of West Main Street and Forestville Avenue at 7:24 p.m. Thursday.

The bicyclist, a 39-year-old man, suffered serious physical injuries and was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.

The driver remained at the scene of the accident and is cooperating with police.

The state Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Squad is assisting local police in the investigation.
