Walmart is remodeling 10 of its Connecticut stores this year. The initiative is "part of ongoing efforts to modernize the in-store and digital shopping experience," according to a press release.
The new stores will have upgraded layouts, technology, and services to offer "faster, more convenient shopping and delivery in as little as an hour to most customers."
The remodeled stores will have free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members and a store-based app to help customers navigate stores and book services at the store. The app will also allow customers to use Walmart Pay or Scan & Go to checkout faster. Some updated stores will also have wider aisles, refreshed interiors, and improved parking.
Across the country, Walmart is planning remodels at 650 of its stores.

Walmart is also expanding with about 20 new stores scheduled to open this year or early 2027 across the country.
Currently, Walmart has 32 stores in Connecticut, according to its website.
