Man Killed After Vehicle Hits Tree: State Police

A Lebanon, Conn. man was killed in a single-vehicle crash Friday afternoon, state police said.

State police said a 2014 Subaru Impreza was traveling westbound on Route 244 (Boston Turnpike) in Eastford at 2:09 p.m. when it failed to negotiate a curve.

The Subaru Impreza traveled off the roadway and struck a tree. The operator of the Subaru Impreza, Baden Preston Powell, 31, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead, state police said. This collision remains under investigation.
