Grand Opening Timeline Revealed For New Restaurant In Bristol

BRISTOL, CT — QDOBA Mexican Eats restaurant is coming to Bristol, and the company is revealing its anticipated timeline.

The chain’s new local location, at 735 Farmington Ave., is expected to open in early 2027, spokesperson Michelle Heaphy said Friday.

The restaurant serves a variety of Mexican-style cuisine, such as burritos, bowls, tacos, quesadillas, nachos and salads, and customers can customize their meals.

According to the chain’s website, it has 850 locations in 45 states across the U.S., as well as in Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan and South Korea.

In Connecticut, this will be its fourth restaurant. It already has locations in Watertown and Norwalk, and another inside the student center at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain.

The building at 735 Farmington Ave. in Bristol is about 2,692-square-feet, and it was originally constructed in 2023.

It is currently owned by 735 Farmington LLC, which purchased it in September 2024, according to the Bristol Assessor’s office.

Initially, the site was going to be a quick change oil facility and emissions testing business, but those plans collapsed after the Bristol Aquifer Protection Agency rejected it.

The building is currently undergoing renovations for its future restaurant use.

Realtor Michael Doherty, who represented the landlord, previously announced he had secured a 10- year lease with QDOBA for the 735 Farmington Ave. property, calling the restaurant “another great addition to Bristol’s growing commercial corridor.”
