A motorcycle operator sustained serious injuries Thursday night in a crash on Route 2 near the Lebanon and Bozrah border.
The accident happened on the westbound side of the highway in the area of the Exit 30/Scott Hill Road underpass, according to the Lebanon Volunteer Fire Department.
It responded to the scene, along with the Bozrah Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. and Colchester Fire & Emergency Medical Services, around 10:33 p.m.
LIFE STAR helicopter landed on the highway to transport the motorcycle rider to a trauma center, fire officials said.
The Connecticut State Police are investigating the accident.
State police said preliminary information indicates the motorcycle and a car collided.
While the highway was closed for hours, it reopened to traffic around 2:22 a.m.
