Tipping has spread beyond restaurant tables and countertop tip jars in recent years, and Dunkin' is no exception.

Some Connecticut coffee drinkers are now encountering tip prompts at drive-thru windows, sparking debate over whether fast-food and coffee chain workers should be asking for gratuities.

More businesses across the country are adopting digital payment systems that make tipping easier — and more visible.

Some customers see no problem with simply selecting "no tip" when given the option. Others believe businesses should pay workers more rather than relying on customers to make up the difference.
