SPRAGUE, CT — Two American flags were stolen from Main Street in the Baltic section of town last week, then thrown into a nearby river, according to state police.
The incident happened July 7 around 6 a.m. State police said the stolen flags were thrown from the North Main Street bridge, which crosses the Shetucket River.
State police on Tuesday posted photos on Facebook of two individuals believed to be responsible, asking for the public’s help in identifying them.
The post has since been updated to say the subjects have been identified.
State police said Wednesday the resident trooper is still investigating the case, but no arrests have been made yet.
