BARKHAMSTED, CT — The owner of a tractor trailer truck has been fined $43,989 and cited for multiple violations following a crash last week, after troopers determined the vehicle had an oversized load, state police said.
Two tractor trailers collided on Sept. 11 around 6:47 p.m. in the area of Route 318 and Route 181, according to state police.
No one was injured in the accident.
According to state police, one truck was eastbound on Route 318.
The other truck, which police say had the oversized load, was westbound on Route 318, police said. Police concluded its trailer body crossed over the solid double yellow line and sideswiped the eastbound truck.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The truck's owner is listed as Uscan Logistics Inc., a trucking company based in Illinois, according to state police.
