Himes, who is seeking his 10th term in Congress, is Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence; a senior member of the House Committee on Financial Services; and previously chaired the Select Committee on Economic Disparity and Fairness in Growth.

Goldstein, a physician (ophthalmology) and a health law attorney, has run for the 4th Congressional District post four times.

He is a member of the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting, and is married to Dr. Belle Goldstein. They have two sons, Jonathan and Stephen.

"I've spent my career fighting systems that put profit over people. Insurance denials," Goldstein said in a statement. "FDA bureaucrats who let patients die waiting. Energy policies that make Connecticut one of the most expensive states in America to turn on the lights.

"A fighter doesn't back down. A fighter delivers results. That's the leadership Connecticut deserves in Washington."

Wesley, a married father and Norwalk resident for nearly 15 years, is a manufacturing mechanical engineer.

He has not held elected office and is running for the 4th Congressional District post for the second time.

"I have decided to run for office because I am deeply concerned and alarmed by the genocide in Gaza, and the threats of wider war - including possible use of nuclear weapons -- in both the Middle East and the Ukraine-Russia conflict," Wesley said in a 2024 statement during his first campaign. "Our current Congressman, Jim Himes, supports the continued arming of both Israel and Ukraine, and will not be moved from his position. That position needs to change, and that is why I am running as the peace candidate."
