Francis joined the station in 2019, and in May, she announced that she and her husband were having a baby.

"I do want to acknowledge how lucky I am," Francis said at the time. "This is not a journey that everybody gets to experience, so thank you for the love."

Before WFSB, Francis was at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was a weekend anchor. And prior to that, she was a morning anchor at WDVM (formerly WHAG) in Hagerstown, Maryland, according to her bio.

"We have been in a newborn bubble, one I never want to leave," Francis wrote. "We are soaking in all the snuggles and more love than ever imagined. Thank you so much for the well-wishes, sweet notes, thoughts and prayers. I'm the luckiest momma on the planet!"

As of Monday afternoon, more than 1,500 congratulatory comments flooded Francis' Facebook page.

"What a beautiful blessing!" wrote We-Ha.com reporter Melissa Cole. "Hugs to you both and enjoy this time. She is so sweet and you look beautiful."

Former WDBJ colleague Leo Hirsbrunner wrote, "I'm SOOOOO happy for you! Congrats!!!!!!!"
