CONNECTICUT — The second, seven-figure winner of 2021 has emerged in the CT Lottery's popular Lotto game and it came just a week after the first.

Of the 4,975 winning tickets sold for the Feb. 23 drawing, one Lotto ticket matched the winning numbers 1 - 9 - 19 - 24 - 25 - 34. The ticket is now worth $1 million (with a lump-sum value of $883,160).

The winning ticket was sold at the Stop & Shop supermarket at 40 Quality St. in Trumbull.

A $5.4 million (with a lump-sum value of $4,776,772) Lotto jackpot ticket for the Feb. 16 drawing was sold at Terryville Mobil in Terryville. The winning Lotto numbers drawn on that night were 2 - 10 - 14 - 20 - 22 - 29.

Both retailers will each receive a $10,000 retailer commission.

The Lotto jackpot is won by matching all six winning numbers drawn. A Lotto ticket costs $1 and players select six numbers between 1 and 44, or request a "Quick Pick" chosen by the game computer.

The overall odds of winning a Lotto prize are 1 in 39.3. Odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 7.1 million.

Lotto drawings are staged every Tuesday and Friday at 10:38 p.m.

On drawing nights, wagering closes at 10:20 PM and reopens at 10:46 p.m.
