Another Major Storm Emerges Which May Impact CT Holiday Travel
Here are the details on another significant storm in Connecticut's forecast. Snow also emerges as a possibility for New Year's Eve, Day.

Another major storm is ready to impact Connecticut beginning Thursday night and for most of Friday and we may see snow possibly on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Thursday during the day will be the quiet before the expected storm moves in late Thursday night in the form of some rain, snow and or sleet, especially away from the immediate coast but temps will soar into the 50s on Friday and all of the precipitation will become heavy rain. Another two inches of rain is possible.
After the rain ends Friday night, the weekend and New Year's Day look chilly but dry. Some rain and snow are possible late on New Year's Eve and on New Year's Day.

The National Weather Service says, "Seasonable temperatures are in store for Thursday, with highs in the upper 30s to lower 40s. A warm front will lift north late Thursday night into early Friday morning. This will bring a return to some unsettled weather continuing into Friday night, with a period of light to moderate rain. Precipitation may start off as a wintry mix for portions of ... southern Connecticut Thursday night, but will change over to plain rain by Friday morning."
"Temperatures will be warmer for Friday as a southerly flow sets up ahead of an approaching cold front, with highs in the 50s region-wide. The cold front will move through Friday night into
Saturday morning, bringing a return to dry conditions and slightly cooler readings for Saturday. Much cooler temperatures for expected for Sunday."
