Back-To-Back Crashes Leave Motorcyclist Dead, 3 Others Injured

One person is dead and three others were hospitalized following consecutive accidents in Thomaston, according to reports.

THOMASTON, CT — Three people were injured and a motorcyclist died following consecutive crashes in Thomaston on Sunday, according to FOX 61.

The initial crash involved an SUV and a motorcycle on Waterbury Road at 5:30 p.m., WTNH News-8 reported.

The second accident occurred when another motorcycle with a passenger was unable to stop due to the first crash and hit the SUV, according to FOX 61.

The 55-year-old motorcyclist involved in the first crash was declared dead at the hospital. The SUV's driver and the second motorcycle's driver and passenger were hospitalized.

The accident is under investigation.
