Belden Forest Mixes and Mingles with the Simsbury Community
Hosts Simsbury Chamber After Hours Event on Oct. 12 and Halloween Party
The active adult residents at Belden Forest Court are mixing it up this fall with several events. First, they will host the Simsbury Chamber of Commerce After Hours networking event on Thursday, October 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be served throughout the night and Rob Lindblad will be showcasing select wines from 90+ Cellars at the networking event. Simsbury Chamber members are free, and non-members are welcome to attend for $10. Everyone should bring their business cards, their warmest handshake, and their biggest smile! Second, Belden Forest is welcoming back local Girl Scouts and Marilyn Douglas with her dog Beau from the animal therapy organization Tails Of Joy for a Halloween celebration on October 27th at 4:15. The scouts will wear their costumes and enjoy crafts with the residents. The event is open to Simsbury seniors. Register at 860-651-0438 as seats are limited.

In addition to hosting public events at Belden Forest, the residents are always lending a hand to the larger Simsbury community. Tony Uanino Jr., Director of Operations at Belden Forest Court, not only served on the Board of Directors for the Simsbury Chamber, he is also the co-chair of the Simsbury Chamber Spooktacular Chili Challenge taking place on October 28th.
“Everyone here wants to be vital contributors to the success of our town activities,” said Uanino. “Our employees are donating their time for both the Chili Challenge preparation and game-day!” Uanino is also the chair of the event’s new Touch-a-Truck area.
