Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers In CT Revealed By U.S. News
U.S. News & World Report ranked Connecticut ambulatory surgery centers in four key categories of care.
CONNECTICUT — Ambulatory surgery centers providing same-day surgical care, including diagnostic and preventive procedures, have transformed the outpatient experience for millions of Americans.
U.S. News & World Report, known for its school and hospital rankings, has released its inaugural edition of Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers. The rankings, released Tuesday in collaboration with CareJourney, rated nearly 5,000 surgery centers, including 55 in Connecticut, in four separate specialty areas: Colonoscopy & Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics & Spine, and Urology.
Ambulatory surgery centers were evaluated based entirely on objective, risk-adjusted measures of their patients’ outcomes, including how successfully they avoided complications, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations and other undesirable outcomes, according to U.S. News & World Report.
