The Best Summer Activities To Enjoy Now That You're Vaccinated

Getting vaccinated means we can get back to summer activities & what we've been missing — ballparks, family time, birthday parties and more!

If you’re ready for a little summer adventure, an outdoor yoga class or an action-packed baseball game are great ways to enjoy some seasonal fun.

Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 means that we can get back to what we’ve been missing — ballparks, time with family, birthday parties — and summer activities! It’s important that we continue working together to protect each other and keep Connecticut safe. We can do that by getting fully vaccinated and taking proper precautions to curb the spread of COVID-19.

With most things now open to those who are vaccinated against COVID-19, it’s time to book some summer adventures, and we have a few ideas.

Yoga In Our City

Yoga is a great way to exercise and decompress. While virtual classes offer flexibility, we also understand that you might be missing in-person classes and connections. Celebrate being back outside by taking yoga outdoors! ConnectiCare has teamed up with Yoga in Our City to provide yoga classes in various park locations in cities like Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, New London, Waterbury and Willimantic. We welcome everyone to practice, for free, from now through October 10. Visit Yoga in Our City for more information.

Go To A Baseball Game

Sports spectatorship is back! The type of camaraderie that you can only get from attending sporting events in person is unmatched. Join us for a Yard Goats game on July 30, which also happens to be ConnectiCare Day, and show some Connecticut pride. It would also be a great time to indulge in some of your favorite ballpark treats. Because let’s face it: a burger at a baseball game over a burger anywhere else is just better.

Health And Wellness Classes

We all want to live healthier lives, but sometimes it’s difficult to figure out the best approach to take. That’s why we offer free health and wellness classes at our ConnectiCare Centers. You can walk in for in-person support or choose from a range of virtual classes on topics like, getting back into a fitness routine, eating mindfully, meal prep and more. Check out our schedule for upcoming events.

Support Your Local Farmers Markets

Head to a local farmers market and shop for fresh produce, artisan preserves and other delicious treats supplied by local businesses. Take some of your delicious purchases and create a healthy brunch or fun charcuterie spread for people you love, whether you gather indoors or have a picnic at the park.

Getting vaccinated is how we beat COVID-19 together and enjoy summertime safely and stress-free. Learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine at connecticare.com/choosehealth.
