CONNECTICUT — The relatives have finally left, the leftovers have vanished too soon, and the holiday season has officially shifted into high gear.

For many Connecticut households, that means it's time to start stringing lights across shrubs and blowing up balloon snowmen for a holiday lawn display.

This year, Patch wants to publish your work.

Please include the following information:

  • The exact address of the lawn display.
  • The dates and hours when your display will be available for viewing, so people aren't ringing your doorbell or bothering your neighbors in the middle of the night.
  • Your display's name, if it has one.
  • Tell us about any special effects, such as singing elves, animatronic angels, live reindeer, etc. (We promise we won't call Animal Control)
  • A link to your Facebook page or website, if you have one.
  • A photo of the display.

A good time to photograph your display is at dusk.
