NORTH CANAAN, CT — A brewery that opened in 2018 in a historic train depot has announced it will close. Great Falls Brewing Company in North Canaan will remain open until Dec. 31.

"As with so many good stories, the Great Falls Brewing Company story is coming to an end," the brewery shared on social media. "We had a damn good run. We enjoyed the many times we were together with all of you whether at a festival, in the brewery making beer, at your establishment, or just chatting late into the night at the taproom."

The brewery's tagline was "Community. Beer. Life." and that sentiment "guided who we were as a company." The brewery donated over $30,000 to many local community non-profits such as daycares, schools, and social services.
