Brookfield Voters to Decide Budgets -- Yet Again
The latest proposal would increase spending by 2.8 percent, and the property tax rate by 3.85 percent.

BROOKFIELD, CT -- Voters will go to the polls for a third time Tuesday in an attempt to pass the budget.
The latest proposal would increase spending by 2.8 percent, and the property tax rate by 3.85 percent. The new proposal also includes $42.7 million to the schools, $213,000 less than the second budget, but still 4.1 percent more than the current year's spending plan.
