Global Atlantic is a retirement and life insurance company, with offices across the country, but most notably in life insurance capital of the world, Hartford.
Job-wise, the insurance company comms gig is about as far away from reporting live in the midst of a blizzard as you can get.
On LinkedIn, Bernstein acknowledged the move was "a big change," but said she was "very much looking forward to joining a great company and applying my skills to a new industry." She then thanked Global Atlantic execs Dan O'Shea, Donald Eddy and Debbi Kritzman for "this amazing opportunity to grow and contribute."
Bernstein worked at Fox 61 in Hartford for over two years, before heading to Philadelphia as a general assignment reporter for CBS Philadelphia affiliate, KYW-TV. She made the move back to Fox, and Connecticut, in 2014. Her political report, "The Anatomy of an Attack Ad," won a New England Emmy in 2015, and she was nominated for an Outstanding Anchor Emmy in 2019 and 2022.
