CIAC Lacrosse Schedule Again Changed Due To Poor Air Quality
Semifinal contests scheduled for Thursday have been postponed to Friday, with higher seeded teams hosting rather than neutral sites.

CONNECTICUT — The continued haze brought on by effects of the Canadian wildfires in Quebec have again wreaked havoc with the state high school lacrosse tournaments.
In a statement issued early Thursday afternoon, the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference (CIAC) wrote, "After medical and meteorological consultation, the CIAC has postponed [Thursday's] boys and girls lacrosse state tournament semifinals to Friday due to air quality issues. All 12 games will now be hosted by the higher seeded school; no neutral site games. Multiple neutral site host locations that were available today were not available Friday due to other commitments."
The revised semifinal schedule for Friday is:

- Boys L - New Canaan at Fairfield Prep, 4 p.m.; Darien at Staples, 4:30 p.m.
- Boys M - Notre Dame-West Haven at Daniel Hand, 5 p.m.; Guilford at Cheshire, 6 p.m.
- Boys S - Northwest Catholic at St. Joseph, 4:30 p.m.; New Fairfield at Weston, 4:30 p.m.
- Girls L - Greenwich at Darien, 7 p.m.; Wilton at New Canaan, 7 p.m.
- Girls M - Pomperaug at East Lyme, 4 p.m.; Brookfield at Guilford, 6 p.m.
- Girls S - Canton at Weston, 12:30 p.m.; Sacred Heart Academy at New Fairfield, 7 p.m.
The lacrosse championship schedule for the weekend has also been impacted. The original schedule had all three boys' finals on Saturday, and the three girls' championship matches on Sunday, all at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield.
No CIAC lacrosse state championships will take place on Saturday. The title matches will still take place at Sacred Heart, utilizing this schedule:
