Coaches Rank Top High School Field Hockey Programs in Connecticut

Seeking its third straight Class L state championship, the field hockey team from Staples High School is taking its quest seriously, outscoring opponents 37-3 over the course of six season-opening wins and earning unanimous selection as top team in Connecticut in the weekly coaches poll.

The Wreckers received the top nod from all seven coaches voting in the most recent balloting. Cheshire was second, while Wilton wound up third.

Here are the top 10, with last week's ranking in parentheses, and all other schools garnering votes.
