Connecticut Runners Set Meet Record At New England Championships

ROXBURY, MA — Connecticut track and field athletes experienced considerable success Saturday at the New England High School Indoor Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center.

Athletes from the Nutmeg State claimed victory in 14 events (eight girls, six boys), with the Suffield High School boys 4 x 800 relay team of Cam Miller, Jared Sharp, Kyle Englander and Nick Sinofsky breaking a six-year-old meet record by nearly a second and a half with a time of 7:49.96.

Double individual champions were Terry Miller of Bloomfield (55 meters, 300 meters) and Tess Stapleton of Fairfield Ludlowe (55 meter hurdles, long jump).
