Connecticut State Dental Association Launches Online Career Center

New Website Accelerates Efforts to Connect Job Seekers and Employers

The Connecticut State Dental Association is launching a new initiative this week to connect individuals interested in working in a dental office with dental practices seeking employees in an array of positions, including dental assistants, office managers, patient coordinators, dental hygienists, front desk assistants and more.

The CSDA Career Center, a new website that will offer a range of services, has as its core function mechanisms for employers to post job opportunities and job seekers to upload resumes. Full-time and part-time positions will be included.

The site also includes a Career Planning Portal, described as a “one-stop career resource center” to prepare individuals already working in, or considering a position in, a dental office with information and resources to “prepare you for your next opportunity.”

In addition, the website will include sections providing up-to-date employment news highlighting developments in the field, along with insights into wages, qualifications, and other in-depth data, as well as access to coaching to provide career guidance. Information regarding development of resumes and cover letters, as well as various workplace and health-related information, will also be available on the new website.

“Open positions in dental practices throughout CT are plentiful, and include jobs for anyone with a high school degree to a post-graduate degree,” said Kathlene Gerrity, Executive Director of CSDA. “Dental health is critical to overall health, and working in this field is tremendously satisfying – impacting people’s health and the health of the community. The CSDA Career Center will focus on connecting talent to opportunity, particularly for people looking to enter or advance in a dynamic health care field.”
