Considerable Shakeup in Latest Weekly Baseball Poll

Spots 2 through 10 changed from the previous week's balloting by state sports media members.

Fairfield Prep (19-1) was once again the unanimous top pick of voters in the latest weekly high school baseball poll, but the next nine slots all changed hands.

Staples (15-4) and Windsor (16-2) tied for second, displacing South Windsor (16-2), which fell to fifth. Holy Cross (18-2) moved up a spot into fourth.

Here are the top 10 ranked teams in Connecticut, as well as all other programs receiving votes, with records through Sunday, May 20.

Also receiving votes: Amity Regional (14-5), Newtown (15-4), Granby Memorial (17-2), Shepaug Valley (18-1), Haddam-Killingworth (12-2), East Hartford (14-4), Wolcott (17-3), Montville (14-5), Darien (14-6), Plainfield (15-4).
