“Despite recent progress with vaccination efforts, the Covid-19 pandemic still continues to adversely impact Connecticut families, workers, and students,” said Acting Consumer Counsel Sobolewski. “Ending the moratorium on utility shut-offs at this time would expose Connecticut ratepayers to needless financial risk, especially at a time when further federal aid is on the horizon. I stand with the Governor, the Attorney General, and the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection in opposing this proposal and urge PURA to do the same at this time.”
