This will be the fifth straight day that Connecticut has seen some exciting and eventful weather. Here are the new updates, timing.

CONNECTICUT — WTNH News 8 Chief Meteorologist Gil Simmons said we should "plan on a crazy afternoon today." So it looks like for the fifth straight day Connecticut will see more thunderstorms, brief periods of heavy rain and possibly hail.

On his social media, Simmons wrote, "I’m expecting big thunderstorms and very heavy downpours in many areas. Some of you may not see much with the sun actually out! It will be very changeable around the state with highs in the 70s to around 80°. Nice weather tomorrow 80s and more sun. Big thunderstorms coming back on Friday!" (Read more at News 8.)

Fox 61 Meteorologist Dan Amarante said on social media, "New month, same weather. Scattered showers (especially in the afternoon with a few heavy downpours) today, but we dry out and heat up tomorrow. Looking pretty good for the upcoming holiday weekend. Welcome to July!" (Read more at Fox 61.)
