CT Christmas Grocery Stores: Open, Closed — Stop & Shop, ShopRite

Christmas is nearly here. The presents are wrapped, lights are twinkling and holiday cards are in the mail. Everything is set. Then you remember — Nanny developed a mysterious gluten allergy in her later years. Holiday rolls are off the table and, more important, so are your Christmas cookies.

You need to whip up a gluten free dessert quickly. But it’s Christmas Day! Who could possibly be open in Connecticut? Fear not. We’ve been there, too. That’s why Patch reached out to major grocery chains nationwide, including Walmart, Target, Albertson’s and Kroger, to find out where you can go and when.

Below is a list of grocery stores that will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Many have varying hours, so always remember to double check with the store to make sure the doors aren’t locked when you arrive. Patch has noted the stores that did not respond to repeated requests for Christmas store hours. Patch will update the hours as more trickle in.
