CT College Student, 23, Killed In Motorcycle Crash
The fatal accident occurred Saturday morning when a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek struck a motorcycle in Burlington.
BURLINGTON, CT — A 23-year-old woman born in Hartford was killed in a motorcycle accident in Burlington Saturday, according to her obituary.
Jena Marie Flammia—born in Hartford and raised in Burlington—died in the accident, which according to a police report, occurred around 11:12 a.m. when a 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek struck a motorcycle at the intersection of Route 4 and Belden Road.
The motorcycle's driver, a 25-year-old Manchester man, was hospitalized with serious injuries, the report said.

Flammia graduated from Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in 2017 and was just about to graduate with her BA in cyber security from American Public University, her obituary said. She was just weeks away from beginning an internship with Hartford Insurance.
"Jena was a soft-spoken, kind-hearted woman, who at a young age touched many lives in a positive, caring way," her loved ones wrote in her obituary.

Her obituary went on to describe Flammia as a lover of baking, gaming, nature, and animals, putting countless hours into training her beloved German Shepherd to assist her with a health condition.
Flammia's family requested that contributions in her memory be made to an animal rescue shelter of your choice.
