CT Coronavirus: 7,300 New Cases Reported, 92 Deaths

The Christmas and New Year's Eve impacts are likely in, but the state isn't out of the woods, Gov. Ned Lamont said.

CONNECTICUT — Gov. Ned Lamont said it appears the Christmas and New Year’s Eve impacts have been felt in the state, but the next couple of weeks will be telling with university students coming back and more public schools going back to the classroom.

“We feel like we’ve got it under control for now, a lot is happening over the course of the next couple weeks,” he said.

The governor noted that the state saw a slight increase in the positive test rate in the days following Christmas and again in the days following New Year’s Eve.
