CONNECTICUT — Connecticut saw its daily coronavirus positive test rate sink below 1 percent for the first time since Sept. 8 on Friday. The state reported 115 positive results out of 13,666 results for a .84 percent positive rate. However, the state also hit another grim milestone as two new coronavirus-related deaths pushed the state total to 4,501.

Coronavirus-related Hospitalizations increased by a net of four patients up to 76.

Gov. Ned Lamont said at a Friday news conference that the lower positivity rate Friday was good news, but that people shouldn't take it as a sign to become complacent.
