CT Coronavirus Updates: Infection Rate, Hospitalizations Rise

Net coronavirus hospitalizations increased for the first time in about a week.

CONNECTICUT — Connecticut broke its weeklong streak of declining coronavirus hospitalizations with a net increase of 16 patients reported Tuesday.

The state reported another 1,583 cases and a positive test rate of 6.67 percent. Another 27 deaths were reported as well, which brought the death toll up to 5,703.
