CT Coronavirus Updates: More Than 57,000 Total Cases Reported
Connecticut's positive test rate went slightly above 1 percent Monday.
CONNECTICUT — Connecticut reported 560 coronavirus cases since Friday out of more than 52,000 test results for a positive test rate of 1.08 percent.
The daily positive test rate reached a low of 0.8 percent in the past few weeks on Friday, but has been above 1 percent the rest of the days. The rate is still one of the lowest in the country.
The state also reported that net hospitalizations dropped by one patient down to 75 over the weekend. Two additional deaths were reported, which brought the state total up to 4,503.

Lamont said he received word from the White House that Connecticut will be awarded tens of thousands of rapid COVID19 tests—and roughly a million in total by the end of the year. "This will further enhance our ability to be a leader in testing nationwide," Lamont said.
The total number of coronavirus cases is now at 57,147 since the pandemic began and 1.568 million tests have been administered.

The largest increased in total case counts between Friday and Monday’s report by town are:
- Norwich: 40
- Bridgeport: 31
- Colchester: 24
- Hartford: 24
- Waterbury: 23
