CT Couple Aboard Seaplane Which Overturned On Lake George

The accident happened early Thursday morning, according to local authorities.

A Connecticut couple was involved in a seaplane accident on Lake George in New York early Thursday, but both escaped without injury.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office Communications Center received a report at 7:47 a.m. of an overturned seaplane with two people in the water.

The accident happened near Blair Bay in Lake George, in the town of Hague.

There were two occupants inside the Kitfox 7SS seaplane, including Leonard Allyn, 60, and his wife, Kristine Allyn, 55, both of Canaan, according to the sheriff’s office.

The couple did not require any medical attention, officials said.

The Federal Aviation Administration responded to the scene and is investigating the cause of the incident.
