CT Fire Department Building Burglarized, Vehicle Stolen

WEST THOMPSON, CT — State police are investigating following a burglary and theft at the West Thompson Fire Department.

A four-wheel drive UTV was stolen from a locked building at the fire department sometime between Friday and Tuesday.

The off-road vehicle stolen, a red-and-black 2012 Polaris, "is an essential piece of equipment routinely used when responding to a variety of emergency calls, including missing / injured persons and fire calls in difficult to reach areas," fire officials said.

The department is located at 248 West Thompson Road in North Grosvenordale.
