CT Gas Prices Continue To Climb: Here's The Latest Reason Why
The average price of gas is 17 cents below the state record, which was set before the state suspended its gas tax.

CONNECTICUT — Gas prices in Connecticut are on par with the national average even as the state continues the 25-cent gas tax suspension.
Connecticut averaged $4.32 per gallon for regular unleaded gas, while the national average was $4.33, according to AAA. The national average is just below the record set on March 11. Connecticut recorded its highest average price on March 11 at $4.49 per gallon, which was before the state suspended its gas tax.
The Connecticut average gas price rose 19 cents over the past week and about 38 cents from a month ago. The price a year ago was slightly over $3 a gallon.

Crude oil prices rose after European Union leaders announced the bloc would ban Russian oil imports in six months and prohibit refined imports by the end of the year.
Seasonal price trends are also starting, Mayko said. Summer driving season is weeks away, plus hurricane season will start soon as well. The country is also converting to the more expensive summer gasoline blend.
