CT Lottery Pays Out Nearly $3.3 Million In Wins Tuesday

CONNECTICUT — It was a wild day Tuesday in terms of CT Lottery players claiming prizes.

The CT Lottery Claims Center processed winning tickets totaling nearly $3.3 million dollars for several lucky players, lottery officials said. Among them were a $2 million winner out of Windsor and a $1 million winner out of Meriden.

  • A Powerball winner from Windsor cashed in a ticket worth $2 million. By adding the $1 Power Play feature to their Powerball wager, the player doubled their prize from $1 million to $2 million. According to the Multi-State Lottery Association, there were only two Match 5 winners nationwide for the Saturday, October 12, 2024 Powerball drawing. The winning Powerball ticket was sold at the Sunoco located at 1916 Poquonock Avenue in Windsor. The retailer will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket. Overall odds of Powerball or Powerball with Power Play are 1 in 24.9. Jackpot odds are 1 in 292,201,338.
  • A Meriden player claimed the FIRST $1 million top prize from the newly-released $10 Ultimate 7s scratch game. The winning ticket was sold at Colonial Wine & Liquors, located at 160 Kukas Lane in Waterbury. Overall odds of Ultimate 7s are 1 in 3.47.
  • A $250,000 CA$HWORD 10 player from New Britain claimed a $250,000 top prize. The winning ticket was sold at Nanglo Foodland, located at 502 Cedar Street in Newington. Overall odds of $250,000 CA$HWORD 10 are 1 in 3.00.
  • A CA$H PLU$ player from Hartford claimed a $50,000 winning ticket that was sold at Stop & Shop, located at 150 New Park Avenue in Hartford. Overall odds of CA$H PLU$ are 1 in 3.52.
  • A Lucky Loot player from Terryville claimed a $25,000 winning ticket that was sold at Phillips 66, located at 129 Willard Avenue in Newington. Overall odds of Lucky Loot are 1 in 3.29.
  • A 20X Cash 9th Edition player from Andover claimed a $20,000 winning ticket that was sold at Xtra Mart, located at 497 Route 6 in Andover. Overall odds of 20X Cash are 1 in 4.08.
  • A $100,000 CA$HWORD player from East Hartford claimed a $10,000 winning ticket that was sold at Star Supermarket & Deli, located at 583 Burnside Avenue in East Hartford. Overall odds of $100,000 CA$HWORD are 1 in 3.13.
  • A 200X player from Stratford claimed a $10,000 winning ticket that was sold at Junco & Daughter Caribbean Market, located at 1601 Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport. Overall odds of 200X are 1 in 3.21.
