CT Lt. Gov. Bysiewicz Tests Positive For COVID-19
Both Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz and Gov. Ned Lamont are recovering from recent COVID-19 infections. Lamont was feeling better by Monday.

CONNECTICUT — Lt. Gov. Susan Bysiewicz announced that she tested positive for COVID-19 Sunday. Bysiewicz's infection follows that of Gov. Ned Lamont, who tested positive last week.
"Thanks to the vaccine and booster shot, I’m asymptomatic and feel well," Bysiewicz tweeted Monday.
Lamont tested positive Thursday and by Monday afternoon he said he was feeling 98 percent better, he said during a virtual news conference. His doctor prescribed Pavloxid, which is Pfizer's antiviral pill for COVID-19.

"I have no side effects, and I'd like to think it's working," Lamont said.
Lamont said he was asymptomatic Thursday, and on Friday he had a slight headache and hoarse voice.

"Look, there's community spread out there, and there's community spread, especially among folks who haven't been infected before, and I think you'll see that here," Lamont said.
Bysiewicz took a regularly-scheduled rapid test Sunday, and she is awaiting the results of a PCR test, Chief of Staff Adam Joseph said. Her office is conducting contact tracing to identify close contacts.
Bysiewicz will isolate at home for the next five days. She was scheduled to receive her second booster shot later this week.
