CT News Station Adds Lifestyle Reporter
She is "bringing a dynamic background in entertainment, lifestyle and multiplatform storytelling" to the new role, the station says.
Connecticut native Angelica Toruno, who most recently was with News 12 Connecticut, has joined WTNH-TV as a lifestyle reporter for its CT Buzz show, she announced on Facebook.
"While you may still see my face here and there on News 12," Toruno wrote. "You’ll see a lot more of me on @wtnh8 as I’ve joined the team as their Lifestyle Reporter for @ctbuzzwtnh."
Channel 8 is happy to have her in the fold, saying that she's "bringing a dynamic background in entertainment, lifestyle and multiplatform storytelling back to where her career in Connecticut first began."

Toruno started at WTNH in 2020 as a producer, and also contributing to the station's lifestyle show, which was then called CT Style.
She then landed at News 12 in 2021, first as a freelance reporter and then full-time. All told, she was at News 12 for nearly five years.

Toruno obtained a Master’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Media Management from the University of Miami, and was an assignment editor at WFOR for a spell.
"I hope this serves as a reassurance that Connecticut will always be home to me and I’m not going anywhere," Toruno said of her second stint at WTNH. "Still in our communities, storytelling, just a little differently!"
