GLASTONBURY, CT — A Connecticut pig named Sprinkle stepped away from her small-town life to experience the bright lights of Hollywood for a four-episode arc on this season of Hulu's "Only Murders in the Building."

Sprinkle, who is just one year old, is part of a pig quartet dubbed the "party pigs." The foursome travel with their owners, Michelle Burns and her husband, across New England to bring smiles at schools, senior living centers, homes, birthday parties, baby showers, weddings, and other events.

Sprinkle's posse is also made up of Dot, Meadow, and Gilbert — the namesake of the company, Gilbert the Party Pig.

Burns made the announcement of Sprinkles' star turn on Facebook in late August, saying that the cast and crew, which includes Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez, "couldn't believe how well behaved Sprinkle was and were impressed of how cool a pig could be."

The show was filmed over multiple months in Long Island City, part of Queens. Burns said that she isn't aware of much of the context around the scenes she and Sprinkle were on set for, and that she is enjoying watching the story unravel with the rest of the fans.

"It was an honor and a privilege to be a part of such an awesome show with an amazing cast," Burns continued. "Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, Martin Short, Michael Creighton, and Erica Sinner were awesome to work with."

And getting to know her celebrity co-stars wasn't the only exciting part of filming for Sprinkle.

"We bring lots of treats for motivation and she gets her room with her bed and toys until they call us for her part," Burns told Patch Thursday. "She usually takes a nice nap on the ride home afterwards."

As for whether Sprinkle is looking to continue her career in the limelight, Burns said that she would "definitely jump at the opportunity again if another show wanted us or they wanted us back for season five."

She added: "If not, that's OK too. It will be something I will look back on and be so proud of."

"Only Murders in the Building" tells the story of three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one.

The ten-episode fourth season premiered on Hulu on Aug. 27 and will wrap up Oct. 29.
