A phone call to the restaurant Thursday was relayed to a message system stating that the pizzeria has "closed our doors for good."

One commenter on Oakville Pizza's post said the restaurant had become a special place to their family: "My husband and I started coming here in 2012 as 2 teenagers. To then 2 new adults on their own for the first time not knowing how to cook yet, so we’d come eat chicken Parm weekly. Then, after we got married we were there even more satisfying pregnancy cravings and bringing each baby in to show them off to you guys. Your restaurant has become a staple in our little family."
