CT Pizzeria Named Among Nation’s ‘9 Hottest New Pizzerias’ By Food & Wine
A New Haven pizza spot known for vegan and wood-fired pies made the national list this week.
NEW HAVEN, CT — A New Haven pizza restaurant has landed on a new national “best of” list from Food & Wine magazine.
Food & Wine this week named Da Legna at Nolo to its list of the “9 Hottest New Pizzerias in the US,” highlighting the restaurant’s vegan-friendly menu and wood-fired pizzas. It is located at 687 State St. in New Haven.
The magazine praised the restaurant’s “robust selection of vegan pies,” including pizzas topped with artichoke hearts, mushrooms, broccoli, spinach, garlic and vegan mozzarella.

The publication also highlighted meat-topped options including the restaurant’s Copps Island Clams Casino pizza, which features local clams, bacon and mozzarella.
Food & Wine noted that every pizza at the restaurant is made with a thin sourdough crust and baked in a wood-fired oven.

The Connecticut restaurant was one of nine pizza spots across the country included on the list.
