CT Reopening Plan, Tell Us What You Think: Survey
Some businesses will be allowed to reopen May 20, but the question remains about how many people will be comfortable to go.
CONNECTICUT — Gov. Ned Lamont had laid out Connecticut's reopening plan, which starts May 20, with a limited business reopening. Businesses like hair salons and barbershops will reopen, but with restrictions to encourage as much social distancing as possible.
Restaurants will be allowed to serve dine-in customers in outdoor spaces only. Similarly, museums and zoos can reopen their outdoor areas. Small retail stores can reopen as well.
Some workers who haven't already can return to the office, but telecommuting is still encouraged whenever possible.

Summer camps will be allowed to open June 29 with very specific reopening guidelines. Nail salons were originally included in the state's May 20 reopening plan but that is no longer the case.
State officials announced the reopening plan for higher education on May 6. Under ideal conditions, residential colleges would be able to reopen in the fall. A gradual reopening for the summer is also being allowed.
