CT Restaurant Known For Live Music Closes Its Doors

An Italian restaurant that hosted many musical acts closed last week.

SHERMAN, CT — Italian restaurant The Painted Lemon in Sherman has closed "due to extenuating personal and financial circumstances." The restaurant shared the news in an Oct. 31 Facebook post.

"To all of our loyal staff members and musicians that come and play, it is with great sadness that we must Say goodbye and We thank you so much for five years of loyalty and commitment to making the Painted Lemon the most enjoyable experience possible," the restaurant wrote.

The Painted Lemon was also known as a spot for live music.

"It is with a heavy heart and that I must share this news with you. It has been an incredible experience for me to have shared these past five with years with you. Thank you so much and God bless each and everyone of you."

The post had garnered 267 reactions, 129 comments, and 39 shares as of Monday.

The Painted Lemon has a second location in Clifton Park, NY. That restaurant was listed as temporarily closed as of Oct. 6 due to staffing issues. An Oct. 6 post on the restaurant's Facebook page noted the establishment "will be opening up as soon as we're able to."
