Connecticut uses the SAT as its standardized test for high school juniors. Then-Gov. Dannel Malloy said the move was mainly aimed at reducing the number of standardized tests high schoolers need to take, since many already took the SAT for college admission applications.

The state Department of Education reports the 2020-2021 SAT results separately due to pandemic disruptions. The state secured a federal waiver for the school year.
